LEGAL
Privacy Notice
How YILTEX Armor handles personal data collected through this website — contact forms, documentation requests and career enquiries.
Who we are
This Privacy Notice is issued by YILTEX Armor — an international ballistic and personal protection manufacturer based in Çorum, Türkiye, with offices in the United States, Serbia and South Africa. It applies to personal data collected through this website.
For day-to-day questions about a form submission or data request, write to info@yiltexarmor.com or use the contact form. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
Registered entity identifiers (legal name, MERSIS/tax details where applicable) are maintained through our compliance programme and provided on request in connection with a formal data subject request.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers personal data submitted through the YILTEX Armor website — primarily contact forms, technical documentation requests, distributor and partnership enquiries, and career expressions of interest.
It does not replace separate notices that apply to offline recruitment files, supplier contracts, programme correspondence managed outside this site, or other channels.
We operate additional legal documents for specific processing activities: the Contact Form Notice, the Cookie Policy, and the Career Applicant Notice. Each one covers its specific scope; this Privacy Notice provides the overarching framework.
What personal data we collect
When you submit a form on this website, we collect the information you provide. For a standard contact or product enquiry this includes: your name, organisation or company name, country, business email address, the subject of your message, and the message itself.
For distributor and partnership applications, we may also collect a phone number and information about your territory or business focus, which you provide voluntarily.
For career expressions of interest submitted through the general contact form, we collect the same fields plus any professional background you choose to share.
We do not collect payment card data, government identity numbers, health data, or other special categories of personal data through this website. If you include such information in a free-text message field, we will handle it only as needed to process your enquiry and will not store it beyond that purpose.
Basic technical records needed to operate the site securely — such as server logs — may also be processed. These are retained only as long as operationally necessary.
How and why we use your data
We process personal data submitted through this website for the following purposes: to respond to your enquiry or request; to route your message to the correct YILTEX Armor team (for example, a product enquiry goes to the product team, a documentation request goes to the documentation programme team); to evaluate partnership or distributor applications; to record business correspondence for operational continuity.
We do not use enquiry data for direct marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making. Reading this notice is not consent to any processing. We rely on legitimate interest and, where required, your explicit consent for any processing not directly tied to responding to your contact.
Data retention
We retain enquiry records for as long as is needed to complete the correspondence and meet legal, regulatory or audit obligations that apply to business communications. For most general enquiries this is a relatively short period. For programme correspondence, partnership records or documentation request logs, the retention period is longer to support ongoing business relationships and audit trails.
Exact retention periods per category are defined in our internal data management programme. You may request confirmation of the applicable period by submitting a data request through the contact form.
When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised in a manner appropriate to the medium and sensitivity.
Who receives your data
Your message and associated personal data are handled internally by the YILTEX Armor team responsible for that enquiry type. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
We work with a small number of service providers to operate this website, including hosting infrastructure and email delivery services. These providers act as data processors on our instructions, under written contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
Data may also be shared between YILTEX Armor entities (Türkiye, United States, Serbia, South Africa) to route your enquiry to the team best placed to respond. All entities operate under consistent internal data handling standards.
We disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities only when required to do so by applicable law, and only to the extent legally required.
International data transfers
YILTEX Armor operates across multiple countries. When you submit a form, your data may be transferred to and processed by a YILTEX Armor entity or service provider in a country other than your own.
For transfers from the European Economic Area or from Türkiye under KVKK, we rely on contractual mechanisms appropriate to the transfer (such as standard contractual clauses or similar instruments) and organisational measures to ensure equivalent protection.
If you have questions about the specific safeguards applicable to a transfer involving your data, contact us at info@yiltexarmor.com.
Security
We apply technical and organisational security measures appropriate to the risk level of business contact and correspondence data. These include: access control so that only authorised personnel handle your enquiry; need-to-know routing of messages to the relevant team; encrypted transmission of data through the website (HTTPS); and secure hosting environments with restricted access.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the sensitivity of information you are sending, contact us in advance to discuss secure channel options.
Your rights
Depending on the law applicable to you — including the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) for data subjects in Türkiye, the GDPR for those in the European Economic Area, and equivalent laws elsewhere — you may have the right to: access personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of data we no longer have a legal basis to retain; object to processing based on legitimate interest; request restriction of processing in certain circumstances; and receive data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through the contact form on this website or write to info@yiltexarmor.com. Include enough information to help us locate your data (for example, the approximate date and subject of your enquiry). We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law — typically 30 days, with an extension possible for complex requests.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority: in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu); in EU member states, the data protection authority for your country; in other jurisdictions, the competent authority under local law.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on this website. Details — including what each cookie does, how long it persists, and how to manage your preferences — are in the Cookie Policy, accessible from the footer of every page.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings control in the site footer. Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Related notices
This Privacy Notice is supplemented by: the Contact Form Notice, which explains how personal data in enquiry forms is processed in more detail; the Career Applicant Notice, which applies specifically to career expressions of interest and any application-related correspondence; and the Cookie Policy.
Reading any notice does not by itself create consent. Consent, where required, is collected separately and clearly.
